Product overview

Recombinant Human A2AR Nanodisc protein is expressed in HEK293 cells with a C-terminal His tag and contains Met1-Ser412 (UniProt accession: P29274). The nanodisc format presents the full-length multi-pass membrane protein in a membrane-like environment for antibody-binding and assay-development research.

Background

Adenosine is a neuromodulator in the adult central nervous system. Membrane-bound receptors for adenosine include the A1, A2A, A2B and A3 receptor subtypes. Expression of A2A adenosine receptor mRNA in cranial ganglia, the carotid body and the intermediate lobe of the pituitary gland suggests additional sites of adenosine action during development and in adults.
