Product overview
Recombinant Biotinylated Human ULBP-2 Protein is expressed in HEK293 cells with a His tag and Avi tag at the C-terminus. It contains amino acid residues Gly26-Ser217 (UniProt accession: Q9BZM5).
Product Details
- Molecular Aliases
- ALCAN-alpha; N2DL2; NKG2DL2; RAET1H; RAET1L; ULBP2; ULBP-2/5/6; NKG2D ligand 2;ULBP2/5/6
- Protein Length
- Gly26-Ser217
- Expression System
- HEK293
- Theoretical Molecular Weight
- The protein has a predicted MW of 24.6 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 30-40 kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result.
- Purity
- > 95% as determined by Bis-Tris PAGE > 95% as determined by HPLC
- Endotoxin
- Less than 1 EU per μg by the LAL method.
- Buffer / Formulation
- Lyophilized from 0.22μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 8% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.
- State
- Lyophilized
- Storage Conditions
- -20 to -80°C for 12 months as supplied from date of receipt. -80°C for 3 months after reconstitution. Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Please minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
- Reconstitution Advice
- Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for detailed instructions.

Biotinylated Human ULBP-2 on Bis-Tris PAGE under reduced condition. The purity is greater than 95%.

The purity of Biotinylated Human ULBP-2 is greater than 95% as determined by SEC-HPLC.

Immobilized Biotinylated Human ULBP-2, His-Avi tag at 2μg/ml (100μl/well) on the streptavidin precoated plate (5μg/ml). Dose response curve for Human NKG2D, hFc Tag with the EC50 of 0.30μg/ml determined by ELISA (QC Test).

Serial dilutions of Anti-NKG2D Antibody, hFc Tag were added into Biotinylated Human ULBP-2, His Tag: Human NKG2D, hFc Tag binding reactioins. The half maximal inhibitiory concentration (IC50) is 45.2ng/ml.
Background
ULBP2 expression was however linked to expression of mature CD57() NK cells. In particular, expression of ULBP2 was strongest on those NK cells that had evidence of recent activation and proliferation. We suggest that ULBP2 could be used to identify recently activated "mature" NK cells.
